Hi, my name is Kaylan!

I’m a wife to the funniest, most supportive (and, let’s be honest, most annoying) husband, and the proud mama of an absolutely beautiful angel of a daughter. When I’m not working, you’ll find me spending time with family, exploring new restaurants, getting lost in a good book, or enjoying a bike ride in the sunshine. Life is all about balance, and I’m here for it!

Before finding my way into dental hygiene, I had the chance to work in several different areas of healthcare. After over 12 years of experience, including in orthodontics, laser therapy, local anesthesia, and, of course, myofunctional therapy, I discovered my true passion in 2019—helping people achieve optimal health by connecting the dots between oral health and overall well-being. What excites me the most is seeing the incredible connection between the two, especially as I work with patients to improve their breathing and tackle dysfunctions, one step at a time.

Giving back to the community is a huge passion of mine. One of the most impactful experiences I’ve had was my first dental mission to Bolivia in 2018. Working with underprivileged children there opened my eyes to the importance of providing care and hope in areas where it’s needed most.

The Myo Spot came to life from my own personal experience helping my father, who faced challenges with speech and swallowing due to a degenerative disease. While I started out focused on dental solutions, I quickly realized that a broader approach was necessary, which opened up a fascinating world of treatments I couldn’t wait to dive into. I’m currently working toward my certification as a COM, and I’m thrilled to keep learning and sharing what I discover.

My mission is to set a new standard of care by uncovering the root causes of dysfunction and creating individualized plans to reach the four main goals of myofunctional therapy: lip seal, tongue posture, nasal breathing, and a proper swallow. I’m here to raise awareness and provide expert guidance, all while helping you understand that common symptoms like snoring, grinding, and open-mouth posture aren’t things you just have to “live with.” We can do something about them!

I’m so excited to work with you and help you discover all the amazing health benefits that myofunctional therapy has to offer. Let’s get started!
